costumes are fun

I saw the absolute worst fashion atrocity yesterday in my neighborhood. When I saw it, I looked at Ted and said "That's it. I'm out. I can't take it anymore." This girl walked by me and she was actually wearing flipflops and LEGWARMERS....yeah, at the same time. Do you know what I have to say to that? N. O. No no no no no no no no no!!!!! For the love of god.

I managed to make it out last night which is pretty surprising considering my level of energy. Ted , Heather, Jojo and I went to the yummy La Corneta taqueria on Mission and 24th (??) and had burritos first. The looks on peoples faces when we walked in was priceless. It was as if they'd never seen Jem, a vampire, a grim reaper and a California Highway Patrolman before. hahahaha. So funny. From there we went to Doc's Clock for cocktails where we met Derek, John, Lyne, Willo, Ali and Negmeddin. Lyne came dressed as a bride with giant glasses. Willo was wearing a big mustache, a cowboy hat and a t-shirt that said "Free Mustache Rides" - HAHAHAHA. She also made herself a giant belt buckle that said "I *heart* Trucks". Hysterical. Ali looked TOTALLY AWESOME. Which is what her costume actually was - she went as an 80's super hero named Totally Awesome. hahahaha. She looked fantastic. Negmeddin came dressed as Mr. T and even gave himself a mohawk for the occasion. Now THAT'S dedication to a costume.

After a couple of cocktails at Doc's, we went over to the costume party at 12 Galaxies. Tons of people came out, so many fantastic costumes. I love this city. Some notable ones were, Adam and Eve, a Robot (when Heather saw him she said "hey, he should come out here and do the robot"...which I made me laugh really hard), Katie Holmes (SO GOOD - this girl had long brown hair, giant sunglasses and a silky dark blue shirt on with noticeable bump), Madeline, Edward Scissorhands...and so many more I'm not thinking of right now. When we got there, Jojo walked up to Adam and Eve and gave them a ticket for indecent exposure - HAHAHA. Here are a couple photos from the evening:
